about
Second single from Lions and Lambs debut EP 'How to Stick Around' out September 1st 2017
lyrics
There's a sidewalk near my parents house where we carved our names in concrete,
across the street from the park where we all used to meet,
and it's not the physicality of drying cement,
but the words and where we carved them and what this all meant.
I don't know when this came to me or how it got this far,
all I can say is that our fate is more than who we are.
I've been running round in circles, and stumbling for days,
I'd write it down if I could only find the words to say.
I can't promise I won't let you down,
I'm learning how to stick around,
I wont stay in here to watch you go.
Walking home from Bullcreek Station somehow made me think of you,
the trouble we would cause and all the shit that we would do.
We saved up all our money and we got matching tattoos,
mine has a spelling error but it makes me think of you.
There's a sidewalk near your parents house where we carved our names in concrete,
across the street from the park where we all used to meet,
and it's not the physicality of drying cement,
but looking back on those years and wondering where they went.
I can't promise I won't let you down,
I'm learning how to stick around,
I wont stay in here to watch you go.
It's too long since I saw you last,
We'll take the chances that would have passed,
I'm trying hard to let you know.
